Hi, I'm Wendy. I am an attorney licensed to practice in Montana. Although I was born in Minnesota (go Vikings!), I grew up in Billings, MT and consider this my hometown. I attended Montana State University Billings where I received my bachelor's degree in history. While attending, I was an active member in the History Club, serving as Secretary and Vice President, volunteered with National History Day competitions, and presented research papers at Phi Alpha Theta regional conferences.
While attending undergrad, I was lucky to get a head start on my legal education by working for notable Billings law firms. I began my legal career as a legal assistant at Patten, Peterman, Bekkedahl, & Green. From there, I was able to work my way up to assistant paralegal, helping with civil litigation and bankruptcy matters. After that, I worked as a paralegal for Felt, Martin, Frazier, & Weldon, doing primarily collections litigation. Shortly before law school, I worked for Paul Warren Law where I gained experience with personal injury and medical malpractice cases.
I attended the University of Montana School of Law from 2014-2017. While attending law school, I was an active member of the Women's Law Caucus and President of our Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. I also participated in the international comparative law program where I studied in China for five weeks. During my summer breaks, I returned to Billings and interned with Harris, Gannet, & Varela where I got my first taste of family law while working on a pro bono case for the firm. My clinical internship and post-law school employment with Montana Legal Services Association further confirmed my desires to work in the area of family law.
When I'm not at the office, you can usually find me training and competing in the equestrian world, or hitting the links on one of Montana's beautiful golf courses. I also enjoy spending time with my bulldog and bloodhound who are both rescued and very, very spoiled.
