Hourly Rate with retainer
If you and your spouse have agreed to separate but can't agree on anything else, full representation might be a good fit for you. This is the traditional attorney/client relationship that most people think of when they need a lawyer. Divorce and parenting plans can often involve lengthy discovery, settlement conferences, and hearings/trial in court. The legal system is complex and not easily navigated by most, especially when one side has a lawyer and the other does not. I can help you through the entire process and ensure you have a fair outcome.
Flat Fee or Hourly Rate
Some clients want to handle their legal issues on their own but just need a little guidance. I can help you with general advice consultations, document preparation, case analysis, and legal research. If it's just the courtroom you're worried about, I can appear with you in court and let you handle the rest. Limited scope representation is a great way to cut your legal costs but still have an attorney to guide you through your legal issues.
flat fee - sliding scale
Now days, divorce doesn't always have to be an ugly, drawn out battle in court. Many couples are able to separate quite amicably. Perhaps we can thank Gwyneth Paltrow for her "conscious uncoupling" movement. Mediation is an excellent option for couples who are willing to be flexible on issues and want to avoid slinging mud at each other in the courtroom. I play the middle (wo)man to help both parties reach an agreement on the issues. If all issues are settled, I prepare the necessary documents for your signatures and filing, and you get to skip the courtroom completely.
